DVT
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot that develops in a vein, usually in the leg, particularly if the vein is damaged or the flow of blood slows down or stops. About one in 2,000 people in the UK develop DVT each year. DVT can cause pain in the leg, and can lead to medical complications if it travels in the bloodstream to the lungs.
